Junior
Kindergartners learn by direct and concrete experiences such as
activities involving sorting, comparing and ordering. With the
aid of playful, exciting lessons and manipulative, the Junior
Kindergartners enhance their skills in counting by rote,
counting for information, seriating, pattern formation, and
adding with picture cues. |

Art |
Art for Junior
Kindergartners is a creative process that allows for
choice, exploration and imaginative expression in a
supportive atmosphere. Opportunities for exploring
color, line and form and for discovering the effects of
various media on different surfaces in an open-ended
fashion allow each child to make his/her own personal
statement with his or her artwork. Art projects are
always related to the weekly Unit Study theme. |

Center Time is the
peaceful, relaxing moment where the Junior
Kindergartners have hands-on activities while enhancing
their Reading skills, Math Skills, and Fine Motor
Development. They are provided with an assortment of
materials and are free to choose which one they want to
